In the world full of things, we believe handcrafted goods have an extra quality as long as they are made with human intention, sensing hands, in careful sight of one's eyes. Every OVO Things piece is created in small Lithuanian workshops by artisans we have trusted for years. Made from natural materials—beeswax, porcelain, wood, and brass—they are produced in limited amounts, each carrying the quiet beauty of human touch.

Join us at our porcelain workshop to witness the crafting of our signature candle holder, the canelé. The process involves intricate steps like casting, drying, and biscuit and glaze firing. “Any errors made become apparent in the final stages. Imperfections are inherent in all handcrafted work, and that is an integral part of the craft,” describes Simona, the ceramicist and master behind @a_chair_and_a_table and our iconic candle holders.”

Each Canelle is slip-cast in porcelain, finished by hand, glazed, and fired at a high temperature to achieve its form.
